I love the NASA photographs peering down at the Earth at night, this one showing the Cradle of Civilization. Image

I'm glad they don't take dogs to the space station, they drool too much when they have their head out the window.

I wonder if the clouds ever clear off enough for them to get a similar shot of Pugetropolis, which last I was there started somewhere near exit 155ish (Federal Way, WA) and extended clear to the last exit for Marysville, which was Exit 199. Urban sprawl may have moved the "start point" south and probably has; I've been saying for a decade now that if I ever have to see Seattle again I'd best have a tactical nuke in my luggage...turns out the only things I miss about Pugetropolis are the seafood, the immense number of restaurants that used to deliver orders other than pizza, and being close enough to go visit the Serpentarium over in Monroe on Highway 2 (which leads to the rightly-dreaded Snoqualmie Pass).

It looks so cozy and close together, but it's around a 9-10 hour drive to drive from the left of the screen to the right of the screen. Rocky Mount NC to Mystic CT.
