Adblock

Do you use Adblock? Does it work well? I really don't mind a site having ads, that's how they pay the rent, and without the revenue many sites would fade away. However, loud self-starting video ads, ads that cover the entire screen until you find the little X, and other intrusive crap, are annoying as hell.

I use adblock along with noscript.
Both work very well and sites load a lot faster.

You can whitelist a website and see various scripts.

I recommend both!

Thanks, Pam.

I didn't realize my distaste of ads and other such corporate shenanigans had spread so efficiently...

Oregon leads the nation - again :cheerldr:

And yet Wasington...you can block our ads when you pry them from our cold dead fingers.

I will have to try noscript, Pam. I've been using adblock for as long as I can remember. Fuck ads.

I use adblock but I disable it for some sites.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong...pages seem to load slower when using Adblock. Of course, it could also be Chrome, which seems to be crappier recently. Firefox doesn't seem to be any better.
