Women Watch Porn

xoxoxoBruce • Jul 28, 2015 11:59 pm
Women watch porn. Everybody knows that, although many won't admit it, all women secretly watch porn... except mom. :haha:

Now we have data from that eminently reliable and prestigious source...PornHub/REDtube.
The results of tracking women viewers produced these charts.

Damn right they do.

So glad the cartoons are on low demands - I can not live up to the unrealistic standards set by Japanese tentacle monsters.

Actually the one that surprises me the most is James Deen. Really?

Why does that surprise you?

You aren't thinking of this guy:

are you?

'Cause they're prolly talking about this guy.<---NSFW link

I would actually be less surprised if it was the James Jean (as apposed to James Deen)....

James Deen looks... Kind of.. I don't know... Normal. He isn't unattractive, but plenty of porn actors look more attractive. In comparison he kind of looks like regular Joe.

Based upon the above graphs, the #1 female fantasy is lesbian sex with Kim Kardashian while watching gay (male) porn?
it • Aug 9, 2015 5:06 am
So.. What is the context?

I mean, I kind of get the feeling this is some sort of victory in an argument I had no idea was happening, and I am not entirely sure what that argument was, what was the other side of it?

Was it that women read erotic lit vs. male watch porn? Would a counter argument be "ahuh, but men read erotic lit too!"? Or was it "Ew no porn is gross only men are such perverts"? What's the history here? Who was arguing women don't watch porn?
DanaC • Aug 9, 2015 5:24 am
I think the context is just that culturally we tend to think of porn as something guys are into but not women.
it • Aug 9, 2015 5:56 am
Huh, possibly.

If there was a gender stereotype about masturbation habits I'd be biased about is that men are probably still less likely to use sex toys. At the very least I have never seen anyone pull out a fleshlight as a present in a bachelor party.
Clodfobble • Aug 9, 2015 6:40 am
Have you actually seen a woman pull out a dildo at a bachelorette party either?
it • Aug 9, 2015 6:45 am
Yes actually (They did it in a restaurant-bar I worked in). But from what I hear it's common enough cliche that a party where it doesn't happen becomes a topic of conversation.
Clodfobble • Aug 9, 2015 6:48 am
I always figured it was a media cliche, not a real world one. I've never seen sex toys or strippers at a bachelorette party. I did go to a wedding once where the groomsmen had decorated the couple's get away car with condoms, that was pretty weird.
DanaC • Aug 9, 2015 6:55 am
Hen nights (bacholorette parties) are about the only context in which that sort of thing would happen.

But it's pretty much always a joke present. They're not actually giving her something to use. It's a big laugh because it's rude.

as an aside:

Men don't really need sex toys - they have hands and everything is readily accessible :p

"If" had nothing to do with it. "What kind" of porn is what was addressed in Bruce's original post.

No, but, by God, I know it happens. And please don't take that away from me, I need that. It's the basis for a lot of fine pornographic cinema.

Yeah, we were born with one. And the batteries never run down.

I actually did have an argument with someone on whether gangbang porn is made for male or female audiences. This doesn't provide a clear answer but it does indicate there is at least some significant female audience.

'Made for' and 'viewed by' are two very different things.

Right, so.. I suppose the question is which gender is more likely to pay subscriptions or clique on ads?

I think the cliche that women don't watch porn goes hand in hand with the perception that women don't want sex as much as men. In my experience, neither of those thoughts are true. I think it also has something to do with men looking down on (or being intimated by) women who are sexual creatures.

Redtube can be awesome, but I prefer Tumblr for my porn. All the sexy gifs and videos I want with less popups and seemingly less viruses.
xoxoxoBruce • Jun 27, 2017 11:37 am
Iggy, you might like this one. It's basicly short clips from porn films trying to entice you to go pay for the whole film, but they're not pushy about it. The 5 to 30 minute clips are probably the best part of the film anyway. :eaty:
lumberjim • Jun 27, 2017 2:41 pm
lol... I know someone who uses that site.....
Iggy • Jun 28, 2017 11:09 pm
Well we know Bruce uses it... ;)
xoxoxoBruce • Jun 29, 2017 1:25 am
Yeah, but I just found it recently. I've been leery of porn sites, and tired of the hoops they make me jump through. Plus I refuse to pay for it. One I've been visiting for a long time is Orsm in Australia, NSFW but some good short video clips, porn down the left column and off the wall shit in the other three columns.
Iggy • Jun 29, 2017 1:57 am
Porn sites in general make me nervous... I've done more than one factory reset on my phone because it was acting weird. I blame that on porn sites and the click-bate sites people share on FB. I don't click any popups and generally try to be safe about it, but I've never had any problem with the gifs and videos on Tumblr. I don't have to download any of those to view them.
Freaky • Oct 19, 2017 10:36 am
From the little experience I have been able to gather women prefer erotic fiction over porn 10:1. Do you remember "50 Shades of Grey"? That's female porn. Obviously everyone is different, but in general terms that's how it is. That's why "erotica" sites like this have a large female audience, while porn flicks are almost exclusively watched by ... men.
