busterb • Jul 11, 2015 4:35 pm
Thanks for all the birthday wishes, I sure needed them. Because i just spent 13 day in the University Medical Center. I have been diagnosed with Esophegeal Perforation. Boy it ain't fun. The precedure they done may or may not work. And the next one will be no fun at all. BB
Clodfobble • Jul 11, 2015 4:39 pm
Oh no, sorry to hear that, Buster. Hope you're feeling better soon!
Gravdigr • Jul 11, 2015 4:42 pm
Well, damn, Buster. That's no way to celebrate!

ETA: Just read up on that at Wikipedia...Damn.:(
xoxoxoBruce • Jul 11, 2015 5:04 pm
That sucks. A good friend had that from acid reflux. Do they know the cause? Did they repair it, or are trying to heal it?
limey • Jul 11, 2015 5:06 pm
Oh! What a crap way to celebrate. Hope the treatment worked and that you feel better soon!

Out on 9th. Back again on 14th and15th. When I got home already had messages to return. So, 16th back again. Going to remove stint. Maybe, no, yes, damnifino. So they just raised it some. Back again the 23rd.
BigV • Jul 18, 2015 12:01 pm
shame you don't get paid mileage.

Get well as soon as you can, buster.
Gravdigr • Jul 18, 2015 4:00 pm
^^^What he said.
IamSam • Jul 18, 2015 4:21 pm
Very sorry to read of your health problems. My Dad had difficulties with his esophagus too, and it was no picnic. Get better soon.
busterb • Jul 19, 2015 2:06 pm
And just to prove things suck, I left windows cracked in car. Little rain, steam and damn head liner fell out. Plus my watch was misplaced, lost, stolen. The blessing just keep coming.
Gravdigr • Jul 19, 2015 2:58 pm
Hey man, at least you're still here to suffer through these "blessings."

Just keep on keeping on, BusterB.

:)
xoxoxoBruce • Jul 19, 2015 8:06 pm
I'll second that.
Big Sarge • Jul 26, 2015 1:12 pm
Just seeing this BusterB. I hope you are doing better
busterb • Aug 17, 2015 1:36 pm
Aug 7th I had appointments at the Thoracic and hoof clinics. I won't go into details about the fire drill. It happens each time you go.
Anyway they stopped all the UMC visits, any more surgery will be at VA on Sept. 1st. Unless the weegee board and dart board comes up with conflicting data once again.
Retina appointment the 19th. No other news
Gravdigr • Aug 17, 2015 2:27 pm
Hang in there like a hair in a biscuit, Buster. Thanks for checking in.
Clodfobble • Aug 17, 2015 5:52 pm
We're glad you're still ticking, buster.

Well, to be fair, he probably has one of those clicky keyboards. Standard issue for us old farts.
xoxoxoBruce • Aug 21, 2015 9:29 pm
Or dentures.
elSicomoro • Aug 22, 2015 1:56 pm
Glad you're doing better, Buster. Hopefully your VA medical center isn't a hot mess like some of them.
busterb • Aug 27, 2015 12:16 pm
Before I forget, my thyroid has been nuts for most of this time. My thermostat is not working right. Dr. doubled my meds, so far no help. As for the va, my visit on 8/19 might explain.
Retina Dr. was a 2 hour wait. Glaucoma is ok, new glasses some day. If Vets choice has taken that over will be another fuster cluck.
Like a dumb ass I thought that I’d stop by ER and maybe see the Dr. that started all this shit. Well 7 hours later I left, having found out the minor pain and discomfort was nothing. Wish I had the surgeon’s pager number so I would page him at 2 or 3 am when I’m up walking the floor.
Drift. I ran over an owl on way home. Had just dimmed lights for on coming and it was setting in my lane looking the other way. Not a very wise owl. My 1st owl. I ran over a porcupine on a bridge one winter in WYO.

I suspect a large number of employees at va have not a clue as to their job description
And the ones that do will be quick to tell you, not my job.

Surgery on first of Sept. to remove the stint. I hope. I’d bet they find some way to screw it up.
glatt • Aug 27, 2015 12:27 pm
Thanks for the update buster. I hope the surgery goes well.
xoxoxoBruce • Aug 27, 2015 12:34 pm
Keep going, buster.
I stopped to look at a road kill porcupine in Canada which had quills that looked like they would puncture a ten ply tire.
Gravdigr • Aug 27, 2015 5:31 pm
Hoping the stint removal goes well, Buster.
fargon • Aug 27, 2015 5:48 pm
Hope every thing goes well.
BigV • Aug 27, 2015 7:34 pm
you *sound* like you're in top condition. good for you providing so many employment opportunities for the health care industry. don't forget to look after yourself, though, ok?
Griff • Aug 29, 2015 9:29 am
Good luck B.

Ask them if they can move it to your windpipe so you sound more like a pirate on Talk Like A Pirate Day (September 19th).
busterb • Sep 1, 2015 6:43 pm
Damn driver didn't show. So back to bed.
Griff • Sep 1, 2015 9:05 pm

Wow.
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 1, 2015 10:31 pm
Was this a friend who promised to drive you?
busterb • Sep 2, 2015 6:58 pm
No. Was setup through the American Legion. He called the head man, but didn't call me. I could have got someone else to go. They called yesterday about rescheduling. Said would call today, yeah right.
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 3, 2015 12:39 am
That sucks, bad enough dealing with the VA.

That would have put me deep into pissed off.

ETA: And what Bruce said.
busterb • Sep 11, 2015 2:27 pm
VA removed the barbed wire stent yesterday AM. All is much better now. Just an off and on headache. Maybe one day I'll get new glasses.
glatt • Sep 11, 2015 2:52 pm
Glad the stent is out! For the life of me, I'll never understand why they make those out of barbed wire. :)
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 11, 2015 3:44 pm
Because the more painful it is the less you're surprised at the price. ;)
fargon • Sep 11, 2015 3:48 pm
I hope you get to feeling better soon.
BigV • Sep 11, 2015 6:20 pm
Glad you're feeling better buster. My uncle has had several stents, and while he's happy they've done the job, they're a hassle at best, and painful at worst.

Hang in there man!
classicman • Sep 12, 2015 12:11 am
Hoping your on the mend, BB
busterb • Sep 13, 2015 1:31 pm
I don't recommend this for a weight loss program, but it works. I've lost 40+ pounds. I'm also weak as a new born. Problems with gas. Guess the Cipro killed all the beneficial bacteria. I got 2 brands of probiotics, but still on the fence about taking them. TMI on the web. Yogurt running out my ears. Anti-gas pills helping? Not sure.
About 6 months ago I gave away a bunch of new tees and underwear. now that's the size I wear. Lucky me.:jig:
Clodfobble • Sep 13, 2015 6:24 pm
What's the brand and dose (it'll say CFU on the package) of the probiotics, buster? They definitely can't hurt, the worst they can do is be useless.
busterb • Sep 13, 2015 6:43 pm
one brand is Insync, other is Phillips' colon health. Each is one a day. I see no CFU on package. My concern is about gas. I'm having enough trouble with that. No idea why.
Insync claims to have 6 natural probiotics. Phillips three. CFU had to look that up. Insync says 3 billion when made, one at best by date. Phillips has 1.5 prior to exp date.
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 13, 2015 7:09 pm
Yogurt may be causing the gas, it does for me. Of course the ladies don't have to worry about that because ladies don't fart. ;)
Gravdigr • Sep 15, 2015 3:02 pm
I love it when a woman in pantyhose farts, and then her ankles swell up real big...
Big Sarge • Sep 19, 2015 3:40 pm
Hope you are feeling better
fargon • Sep 21, 2015 11:25 am
Take your pills Buster and feel better soon.
