Self-flagellation

Everyone of legal drinking age has learned some days it's just not worth gnawing through the restraints, but must admit a lot of the aggravation is self imposed. Not sure if it can be accurately called flagellation in my case, as it's not for penance, and sure as hell not for sexual gratification.
