Good Ole VA

A friend spent a couple years of drunken debauchery in the Navy during the late sixties, then a lifetime of Harley Davidsons and hot cars. Now in the later half of his sixties he has tinnitus and can't hear for shit... like the rest of us.
The VA has determined they'll buy his hearing aids, which is nice. They also are going to pay him $890 a month for the rest of his life which I'm not sure just how that will help his hearing but it's a nice boost in his retirement income.

Yeah, having money usually helps other people hear you, not the other way round.

Wish I knew how he did that. They buy my hearing aids, but no money. :bitching:

I thought this was gonna be another the-VA-screwed-somebody-over story. Nice change of pace.
