March 8th. 2015: Penguin Suit

Not only are these woolies for waddlers the cutest thing on the internet recently, they were knitted by Australia's oldest living man, 109-year-old Alfie Date. The penguin pullovers are intended to protect the birds from the oil from a spill. But before you grab your needles to join in, the Penguin Sanctuary doesn't need any more sweaters, and Alfie has moved on to hats for preemies. Human preemies, I think.....

It took me a minute to realize those weren't real penguins.

I can't believe the effort put into the designs, though! I guess you would get bored knitting hundreds of unicolor sweaters.
