Nafea Faa Ipoipo (When Will You Marry?), is a double portrait of two young women painted in 1892 Tahiti.
Oh, by the way, it happens to be the most expensive painting... ever.

A colorful painting of two Tahitian women by Paul Gauguin has reportedly been sold by a
Swiss family foundation to a group of state museums in Qatar for nearly $300 million,
a record sum for a single work of art.

The price would best the roughly $250 million that Qatar paid three years ago for Paul Cezanne’s
“The Card Players,” and underscores the purchasing power and ambitions of the nation.

Of course you know it was painted by This guy...

He died a pauper, supported by a French art dealer and painting up a storm to the end. heh $300,000,000.00

Here's how you can own that painting, and have change left over.

Don't bet on it (snicker), I think it means more than money to Qatar. ;)
