What pets do you have

monster • Jan 24, 2015 10:40 pm
in your household right now?
infinite monkey • Jan 24, 2015 10:42 pm
Dead hobos.
monster • Jan 24, 2015 10:48 pm
hmm are they still mammals once they are dead?

Do you have pet maggots too, by any chance?
infinite monkey • Jan 24, 2015 10:51 pm
I got nuttin'

Great poll, btw! :) I didn't wait long enough to see the poll before I replied!

There was supposed to be a none option, but I missed it out. wonder if I can fix that
sexobon • Jan 24, 2015 10:54 pm
Hmmm, goat is listed twice. I bet one of those was supposed to be rock for the people who have a pet rock.
monster • Jan 24, 2015 10:56 pm
well it was for people who were 'distracted" by the first goat.

that's probably where my "none' went. well, they both have 4 letters....

Does a teacher's pet count for anything?

How about a pet peeve?
Aliantha • Jan 24, 2015 11:22 pm
Very boring for us. I have a couple of small children too. I think they'd be classed more as pests though.
monster • Jan 24, 2015 11:30 pm
my guess is cats first, dogs second and then I'm not really sure.... fish maybe?
sexobon • Jan 24, 2015 11:34 pm
Ch-ch-ch-chia!
monster • Jan 24, 2015 11:43 pm
I deliberately omitted cockroaches. And Trouser Snakes.

I just don't want to know.

I had a trouser snake the other day. but now it's a bedside laundry basket snake.

But I just have mah dawg.
Griff • Jan 25, 2015 8:28 am
I feel bad being out of the goat bidness. 2xdogs, 3xcats, 1xturtle, 12xhens plus cock, thousandsxworms, and 2xturkeys.

Turtles are doing surprisingly well. We have smails in the fish tanks too. well and fish in the turtle tank sometimes. I thought we were going to be like UT at one point, but Mr. Liscous got it when they were both confined to a small tank during cleaning.....
Undertoad • Jan 25, 2015 2:34 pm
Excellent. I'm hoping that I can get Turt into better conditions in my move.

Currently his 40-gallon breeder tank is on a tilt, because the floor is tilted!
Griff • Jan 25, 2015 3:05 pm
Will he want a room-mate when things are set up nice? We inherited a female red eared slider that lil' Pete can't keep in her dorm...
Griff • Jan 25, 2015 3:06 pm
forgot to mention bees...
classicman • Jan 25, 2015 4:10 pm
2 3/4 cats here.
classicman • Jan 25, 2015 4:11 pm
need Moar pictures
orthodoc • Jan 25, 2015 4:15 pm
Six cats. Two are boomerang pets that belong(ed) to two of our kids; the other four are long-term. It doesn't matter; they're all cute and we have enough room for each to have some territory to call his/her own.
DanaC • Jan 25, 2015 4:17 pm
I'm not sure if I have a pet, or if Carrot has a human.

Well you can have a slave and you can have a master. I chose my verb carefully ;) the noun was a little trickier, but as pet does not necessarily imply inferiority/superiority, I thought I could get away with it :D
orthodoc • Jan 25, 2015 10:17 pm
There are so many more subtle nuances than slave and master ... I don't think humans and others in the animal kingdom need have that relationship. Steward... caretaker ... friend. I like those better.
monster • Jan 25, 2015 10:19 pm
Slave and master were examples to make the point
orthodoc • Jan 25, 2015 10:32 pm
Not throwing spears at you, monster ... you said the noun was trickier. I just threw out a couple of other choices.
