The Morning's Slow Reveal

Mum took some early morning photos from her bedroom window. See how the mist obscures all then gradually reveals the valley stretching away (hence the title - her own)

I've lived places with views similar to that for short periods of time, and I've never gotten tired of the view. But I wonder if you live somewhere like that for years, do you take the view for granted?

Nope. Mum's been in that house for about 16 years and she still gets a kick out of it. I've lived in this area for about 18 years or so and I still marvel at the landscape when I walk the dog.

Not every day - not every walk - but whenever I see the valley it lifts me, even after all these years.

I know what you mean, I'd walk by that kind of scenery daily and when I was stressing or trying to solve a problem it was just background. But on the days that I wasn't distracted, sometimes I'd note little changes in the details from weather or seasons, and sometimes just take it all in and say, damn. :yesnod:
