The best thing to come out of a tragic event. It's the thing that restores my faith in humanity, and my pride in being Australian.

Please to explain for the stupid/not-up-to-date?

A muslim cleric decided to try and terrorise Australians yesterday, and he succeeded, but not in the way he probably hoped.

He's now dead, and Australians in general are now united in supporting our Muslim community and protecting them from the hatred of a few. This is probably a somewhat incorrect statement by me I guess in that we are all shocked and grieving today, and there is a lot of anger and finger pointing going on, but this undercurrent of goodwill and common sense is like a rose blooming after the rain is finished. The fact that there is so much support for a group of people who could be facing some of the worst vilification so far, is heartwarming.
