They never said it was new music. It was pretty widely known that this album would be mostly ambient-type music, and would be comprised of older stuff.

In high school my drama teacher played Pink Floyd as the music for all of us to lie down and peace out to ... I'm not criticizing, but this was always PF's strength. Ascend into the cosmos for 25 minutes until physics class.
