Oct 3rd, 2014: Walking on Glass.

We've had the glass walkway over the Colorado River, and the glass porch on the Chicago skyscraper.
Here's a Chinese contribution to the clenched butt brigade.
About a 1,000 ft span, 600 ft above the blood thirsty, body shattering, feces splattered, rocks below.

At least if you make it across the terror is over.
Wrong optimist breath, for this is just a warm up for the glass skywalk in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

There is not a snowball's chance on the Equator that I would cross that bridge.

I've just done a few searches and found a report about cracks in the glass floor of the observation deck of the Willis Tower in Chicago.

Somewhat dramatic, but here's the link: Terror at 1,353ft

I'm perfectly OK with heights, but 'nothing' under my feet?

Er... NO THANKS!

Not so bad. The smog is so horrible now that it has reach the countryside, and you can't even see the bottom.

Visitors take photos as they lie down on the new glass floor at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

People pay good money, real 'folding type' stuff, for the privilege of frightening themselves witless.

I said witless.

The CN Tower in Toronto has had a glass floor on its observation deck for years ... maybe decades at this point. It's been done.

It's weird to step out on the transparent surface, taking a deep breath - and then, a moment later, it's surreal ... you feel that sense of hovering, looking down, as you sometimes do in dreams.

Well worth the admission, I'd say.

Don't. Just don't.

I know *exactly* what song that would be if I clicked your link. I am already wigged out by the OP, and you're not helping. :eyebrow:
