I KNOW I saw this reported, I just can't find a link to the story

I was watching FoxNews earlier this afternoon and they had a Kuwaiti Shii'a Cleric on ... who declared Saddam Hussein to be an infidel and was voicing approval for the US to take him out ...

Supposedly there were similar statements from other Shii'a leaders.

Can anyone else confirm this story? Has the US just been handed the Sword of Allah's Righteousness here?

I couldn't dig it up on google news, which tends to be fairly complete as far as current events.

I saw it on Fox Wolf, you were not imagining this (I have a day off from my shitjob on precisely the same day the trigger is supposed to be pulled, so I found a TV to stare at).

I can't remember who ran the clip but it was clearly stated that this is extremely rare. Is it real? It seems suspicious. I also only speak English and Hillbillian so the cleric could well have been describing how he would be screwing his goat later this evening for all I know.

Saddam was called an infidel in the clip, so I was hanging on every word.

Even bin Ladan called Saddam in infidel so I'm not sure how much of an endorsement it is to us.

They are funny about stuff like that.

Its my observation that Muslims prefer to mete out justice (or whatever the heck passes for it) from within.

Much like I'll defend arrogant New Yorkers against criticism from Canadians but not against criticism from Southerners. Something like that, anyway.

Saddam is Sunni, and has been brutally suppressing the Shiia for years. As the norther no-fly zone was to protect the Kurds, so was the southern zone to protect the Shiia.

...in Iran? You know, where the Shi'ites were the bad Muslims and the Sunni the good Muslims?

(never mind. Oceania is at war with Eastasia, and Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia)
