They're really rather good. I resisted for quite a long time (til 2010 I think) - now I couldn't function without it :p

My phone arrived today, and it didn't work. I could not make a call, I would push the phone button and the number pad would not come up. FARK!!!

Are there tabs across the top? Look for key pad.

I wouldn't be without my smartphone now.
I had a PAYG clockwork phone for years but Sundae extolled the virtues of the smartphone to me and I was duly persuaded.
Back in February I found a decent enough deal on the iPhone 4s.
It's not the most up to date model but it suits me because, as these things go, it is reasonably economical and does exactly what I want. :thumb:

I have the 4s - though I no longer have a provider - it's pretty much a glorfied ipod for me now :P I'm a bit gutted they've stopped updating the software now.

I've just checked mine and it shows the software as being up to date with iOS 9.1.

Perhaps your phone not being connected to a network might have some bearing on it.

Have you tried connecting to your PC and checking for updates?
