How is your stomach virus?

Griff • Dec 20, 2013 2:43 pm
Mine has kicked my ass, had to leave work after an hour.
glatt • Dec 20, 2013 2:55 pm
Sorry, Man.

Drink a pint of whiskey to get those viruses drunk, then open your mouth and stick out your tongue so they will stagger out to the end of it and fall off out of your body.

There's the long-sought cure for viruses! Quick, patent it.

Whoa, awake now. That was quite the delirium, maybe I shouldn't have driven home from work..
glatt • Dec 21, 2013 8:43 am
How you feeling? Still queasy?
Griff • Dec 21, 2013 8:47 am
I'm being very careful, but I feel a lot better. My back was sore from so much sleep time and my head hurts but that could be my caffeine addiction. Make sure your son gets his liquids.

Mum had the fabled 24 hour bug recently.
She's not allowed to have it really, being retired.

I did all I could, but just had to leave her to it in the end; I had work the next day (with food) and she's a grown woman after all.
It took her a couple of days to get over but when she did she thanked me for being so caring. And not in a sarcastic way.
Which choked me up a bit, I mean I was lying in bed listening to her cry at one point.

No sickness allowed until after New Year now. Until after 9th January to be precise

So I'm spreading loving and care and good wishes liberally around in the hope of getting a karmic get-out-of-sickness card. I've paid forward with my appalling bruised hand. Damn I wish you could all see it. I have a Technicolor Dream Hand. And aside from knowing I did it at work, sober, I can't shed any more light on how it happened.

Over-gripping the knife?

I think it's my bash, bash, bash method of cleaning.
There are all sorts of nooks and crannies that need to be cleaned (especially need to be cleaned; no-one gets ill on my watch) and at this time of year there is limited time to do so.

Add that to my born proclivity for bruising and a dicky liver...

Of all the ways I could hurt myself on the counter, given the knives, the slicer, the ovens etc, it's almost always the bruises.
Again with the bruises, oy vey. I can say that, because I once had Sheldon (as a Secret Santa).

You have to cook those buggers properly. Recipe, anyone?

They need first to be force fed lemons and sour grapes while listening to the Tales of the Brother's Grimm.
