My Santa is Sheldon. I know, youre already jelly. The gifts came unwrapped, so I have my excuse for opening them the instant the package arrived. And, no, Shel, I dont mind that they were not wrapped. I don't think I would have restrained myself anyway.

I returned to M'town today and found my Secret Santa gift waiting! I am the very lucky recipient of one of Aliantha's gorgeously decorated fruitcakes!! This cake is a work of art. I took a couple of extra photos to show some of the detail. It looks too pretty to eat but I had to taste it, and it's delicious. Fresh, lots of fruit, and yummy rum or brandy all through ... Ali, you're an artist. Thank you! :)

Santa (or santa's helper, whatev) left the package on my top step, touching the screen door. There's no way for me to open the door without moving the package. Slowly, slowly, crap. Like a clumsy cardboard slinky, the box walked down all the stairs. D'oh! I went out and picked it up and didn't find anything oozing or weeping or bleeding from the seams, and it didn't make any rattly or clanky sounds when I turned it over to check for problems. But I won't be able to completely assess the damage until Christmas.

Yeah but I like what I got! I'm using the spoon as a spoon rest and it hangs on the wall by the cooker. AND it's got cock. What more could I want! (We had some more of the yummy pasta yesterday, too!).
Limey & I had a chat about this, me being the courier and all.
I never looked at the original picture, and the way the spoon rest was packaged I really thought it looked like a bowl.
"X is going to be really cross with me" I said, "they specifically asked me to check that the item delivered was the right one."
Limey said then what she said above. She loved her prize as it was.
And she does has some gorgeous crockery already, but no cock spoon rests unto this arrived.
Still, I am cognisant of the fact I was asked to check something and got it wrong, irregardless of the happy ending.

Nonsense. You went above and beyond, carrying all of that hundreds of kilometres. It was very close to the description of the item. My annoyance is entirely with Amazon UK. I know that they're not Harrods, but one can still expect them to get an order right.
I did look over the spoon gift basket in the online store. Didn't notice the cock. It does fit in with the Cellar meme.:p:
