Ok so I'm up to season 4 in BB. High school chem teacher with lung cancer, needs cash, starts a cook op with former student. Addictive!!

I'm just watching the last ep of season 2 now!

Bloody hell, it's good stuff. What a fabulous central character.

I watched 2 or 3 seasons.

I was waiting for the DVDs to come out for the next season, and when they did, I wasn't ready to get back into it again. It was getting to painful to watch. That dude really is breaking bad.

Mr. Clod said something to the same effect. The character was getting deeper and deeper into trouble, and yet everything he was doing was for his family, who couldn't be allowed understand the sacrifices he was making because it was for their own safety... He identified with him too much, basically, and could see himself making the same decisions if it was the only way to protect his family. He had to stop watching it. (One of these days I'm going to finish up the series on my own when he's not here, but right now I'm hooked on "Orange is the New Black.")

Exactly! And then his family life falls apart, so everything he was doing was for nothing.

I hate to see it end but expect the impossible from Vince Gilligan.

A Breaking Bad masterclass interview from the Edinburgh international tv festival.

Charlie Brooker interviews Vince Gilligan

Takes a few mins to get into - first there's a promo vid (a really bad promo vid!) for the 'Network' project, then some video of the show that we don't see, then the slightly slow start to the interview - But Brooker is a really thoughtful interviewer, brings a real media expert's eye to the job and pulls out some interesting angles.

Thanks D, I enjoyed remembering the show through this interview.

I've almost stopped watching it. I'm rationing the remaining episodes, I only have five left, and I don't want it to end.

I took 2 vacation days this week, and I've been binge watching this show. I thought there were 4 seasons. I think I'm on episode 7 of season 5. One more before bed... Then there's this blizzard coming.... Should be able to finish it by Sunday.

This is the best, longest movie I've ever seen

My dad is on his 3rd or 4th watch. He loves Breaking Bad! We got him a better TV for Christmas so now it's even better to watch.

My son just discovered Malcom in the Middle, so we've been going through those old episodes. It's amazing how well I remember the plot lines. And the jokes and gags still hold up today. Not dated at all. And it's fun to see Brian Cranston in his role as Hal again. He's talented.

I've watched Breaking Bad in it's entirety three times.

I'm halfway through season 3, again, rfn.

Pure, double-rectified awesomeness.

Better Call Saul raised my hopes by showing up on my DVR, but it turned out to be a 5 minute promo. Gotta wait a few more days.
