Open question for the ladies

On a scale of 0 to 10, how sexist is Todd Rundgren's first solo hit song, "We Gotta Get You A Woman"?

Sexist:
-- Speaks of women as possessions
-- "They may be stupid but they sure are fun"

Not sexist:
-- Being in a relationship is the only cure for what ails our protagonist
-- "It's like nothin' else to make you feel sure you're alive"

Well, as a feminist myself ;) , I thought the opening lines:

Leroy, boy, is that you?
I thought your post-hangin' days were through,

raised issues of race politics as well.

sexism is not the main problem here.

It's crap.

I have heard the same sentiment from women determined to fix up female friends.
Even down to the "they may be stupid" thing...

Never any of my friends.
Sadly.
Because I would love to be set up with someone just because he has a cock and balls, with no actual consideration of my preferences and whether he is right for me or will interest me.

Any man will doooo.....

So, sexist?
Nah.
A little blinkered?
Maybe.

Todd's friend might really just be looking for something with a hole.
Who is looking for something with a pole.

I'm just a thing with a pole, lookin for a thing with a hole
I said I'm just a thing with a pole, lookin for a thing with a hole
I got the absence of reciprocating topology blues.

We could get rich off this, I tell you!
