So how was the London Eye constructed... ?

= built horizontally on the ground and then tilted upright
= built horizontally on the ground and then flown in by helicopter
= cables strung from the supports, one-at-a-time, and built vertically

That is a very usual lift for a crane. Not directly upward, but laterally.

It took 10 days to raise it.
But it's a big rip off, it only goes 0.033 rpm, that's no fun. :haha:
