Lungs

busterb • May 2, 2013 12:30 pm
I have a chest x-ray today and that will finish all test at health dept.
CT scan the 23rd showed several new nodular densities in left midlung which appear cavitary.

So I have an (appoitment, va spelling.) The 15th for misc lab2. I suspect they're going to hurt more than my feelings if they do a lung biopsy and run the light down my lungs. We'll see. I'm thinking of words I really don't want to. 1 starts with a m and comes from asbestos.

Might as well get the last of my teeth pulled same day.

Ouch buster! Sending good vibes your way. I hope it doesn't hurt as bad as you think it will.
BigV • May 2, 2013 12:42 pm
You're taking care of business buster, good job. Good luck too.
glatt • May 2, 2013 2:04 pm

Sorry to hear this, buster. I hope you get some answers soon.

Might know Monday. I suspect the state is going to stick me with bill for Xray :smack:
Aliantha • May 3, 2013 7:07 pm
I hope it goes well and you don't have to pay (too much) buster. xx

As with the others, all my best, darlin'

I'm nowhere near knowing where my own health is going, but at least it's the one thing I have no money-worries about. 'Cepting I wish the really serious issues could have been picked up back in November. Still, the blame lays at my door.

Please keep us up to date.

Hang tough Buster.
busterb • May 9, 2013 10:59 pm
Ha. No TB! I'll see what they find the 15th. If I had TB the state would pay. SUCKS
Lola Bunny • May 9, 2013 11:06 pm
I'm glad you don't have TB, Buster. :)

Had blood work the 15th, had a message when I got home to see lung Dr. Guess they dropped ball, so back the 22nd for that. Letter came for another ct scan on 29th. 3 weeks in a row and about 400 miles running back and forth. One can only hope that one day they'll get their crap together.
Job plan, what flappin plan? They just show up and what ever happens that day is the plan. :smack:

You should buy a trailer and camp there until they get it straight.
busterb • May 22, 2013 8:09 pm
Well, ain't that nice! I waited around 1 hr to see the lung DR. I learned to pair my bluetooh with my table and hear jJ Grey. So he comes in with wrong files. For someone else. When he asked me if I'd like for them run the scope in my lungs, guess what my answer was?
So onward to new CT scan, which the DR would like to look at to set date for rooter reamer in lungs.. WHAT, no CT scan till July,. Must be train day, again.

It should be unbelievable Buster, but it isn't. I'm sorry they suck so bad.
busterb • Jun 19, 2013 1:29 pm
The state has determined I have Mycobacterium gordonae. BTW, the dr. above had to borrow my pen, didn't have one. :smack:
Undertoad • Jun 19, 2013 1:58 pm
When they said you'd get oldy and moldy, that was just supposed to be an expression!
busterb • Jun 20, 2013 10:57 am
:-)

Maybe there's a tiny bit of consolation in the bug you've got.
It's ubiquitous, like in drinking water  and hospital-acquired inifections,
and is named for one of the powerhouse leaders of early microbiology, Ruth Gordon.

On second thought, there's no consolation in all that. :yelsick:
... so stay on your meds and get better sooner.

Looks like the state and VA can't get their junk together. I have called and left messages 3 days to my DR. about this. My friend at health dept. told me, today that she faxed it to my DR. Have another CT scan the 7/10. Does someone think it went away w/out treatment?
busterb • Jun 27, 2013 10:44 pm
I guess the VA is setting me up for a training day so some intern can practice their Bronchoscopy skills?
BigV • Jun 28, 2013 1:16 am
fuckin ouch.
busterb • Jun 30, 2013 8:58 pm
Friday my DR. nurse call and told me they had nothing to do with lungs, VAJackson is in control. Yesterday I got a bill for x-ray, that state sent me for. Well I belive in L.L.C.
Shine, the anvil shooter told me that stood for Lots of Luck, use your own word for the C.
I'll take the bill to VA when I go the 10th.
Why do people fill on my medicare, when I never use it?
If I had a small ding on my car. Carried it to shop, would they file on my insurance. Without asking me?
busterb • Jul 10, 2013 9:58 pm
Nuter CT scan today
Griff • Jul 11, 2013 6:48 am
Hang in there b.
busterb • Jul 12, 2013 7:03 pm
Per my Lady Dr. at VA. One of few I trust.
“I am very pleased to report that the ct scan of lungs is much improved, especially in the left lung. I have requested the lung specialist review the scan and make recommendations.”
Nothing said about the Mycobacterium gordonae or treatment.
Guess someone thinks it’ll go away?
Big Sarge • Jul 13, 2013 12:25 am
I'm glad things are getting better. BTW, I've started get bills for meds & visits to the VA. Is this happening to you??
Griff • Jul 13, 2013 8:18 am
Seriously? Maybe we should eliminate a couple non-functioning F-35s and start paying our vet medical bills.
busterb • Jul 17, 2013 8:11 pm
The lung specialist at JA VA recommend a recheck in 6 months. I hope the hell it's not the same sob that didn't know my name or have a pen
