IS IT POSSIBLE

To respond to previous posts in existing threads? If so, how? I get so tired of making all these new threads.

:right:

Since no one else has replied, I'll take a shot at it.

There are at least 2 ways, but the easiest is to treat your link
to a Cellar post just as you would with a link to an outside web page.

First, go to the post record that you wish to link to.
Click (upper right corner) on that post's number
The command line will then show the URL for that post.
It will look something like this:

http://www.cellar.org/showpost.php?p=863438&postcount=1

COPY that URL into memory.

Next, create or go into your Reply post and use the "Insert link" button
to PASTE the URL into your text... just as you would for any outside web page.

You can also hide the URL in a word... such as this

Lamp, you're awesome.

But, I was actually just being a sarcastic brat. You know, starting new threads for every thought or whim...

Sorry.

The second way is to treat the linked post just as you would a quote in the same thread.

First, go to the post to which you wish to link.
Click the "Quote" button of that posting.
This will create the draft screen for a "Reply" posting
It will look something like this:

[ QUOTE=infinite monkey;863438]Is the same no matter WHO I see.
Hmmmm.[/QUOTE]

COPY all of that information into memory.

Next, create or go into your new Reply posting and PASTE.
The link will then show up in the usual format with all of
the content of the linked record, like this

No problem. ;)

My youngest daughter is so gullible, she wakes up to a brand new world every day.
Me too. My middle name is "Sheldoncooper"
