2/25/2003: Albanian wife

Welcome to the crazy-mixed-up land of Albania. In this culture, tradition dictates that women to do all the house chores with men never helping as this is seen to be a sign of weakness.

PJ O'Rourke writes about Albania as a country that saw its economy almost trashed by pyramid schemes. The people fell in love with the idea and it almost lead them to ruin!

are you kidding? look at her! in six months she will be able to kick his ass. thats why i split the housework with my wife. equal amounts of physical activity ensure that its at least a fair fight. :)

Sounds like a really good reason to be a lesbian.

The posing there is awesome. Maybe I should move.

I take it this is why Albania has very strict gun control laws.

Man, that's a great shot.

Sometimes, I turn to my wife and say things like, "Hey, get to work, bitch! Bring me my beer!" But she just stares at me blankly and then continues watching television. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Sometimes, I even have to do things for her. Man, what happened? It's like we're equals or something.

See, what I want to know is, what's guy doing there? I mean (hypthetically speaking of course), if I were going to make my wife do all the manual labor for me, I wouldn't be going along with her. Seems to me like a "real man" would be sitting at home with a brewski, rather than hanging around to supervise.

Or maybe I'm even more lazy than the average!
