Dream Lights

So, I'm starting a new business. I'm making candles. Started putting the word out on facebook a couple of days ago and already have my first custom design order for 30 candles!

This is very exciting for me. It's been a long time since I did anything which required the business side of my mind to do any work. I like the fact that I'm doing something creative which I can also make money out of.

Thanks Dani. Very early days yet though. I'll make another batch tomorrow. Step mother has requested something red, so I guess I'd better make some red ones. lol

They are very, very nice. I'd be a bit leary of posting them overseas though. Even if you come up with a brilliantly secure and safe packaging, the chances of them being opened up by customs and then sent on in a less secure state are high.

Dani, yeah it could be a problem. The other thing is that if they get warm, the gel will get soft, so they might lose their form which is a problem. I would have to think of some kind of plug for the top. Anyway, we'll see. For now it's just local with custom orders and selling at markets on the weekend.
