I'll start with a subject close to my heart.

Will I still have a job after today?

Comments are appreciated: happy, snarky, funny, crappy...I don't care. Give me what ya got.

If tomorrow you're not still on this job, your job will be to find a job.

I was sent to my room for 3 days without allowance. No small financial kick in the pants.

My meeting to discuss my 'issues' with the work kept getting put back. I found out last Thursday why it was pushed to this Wednesday. I came back Wednesday and now the meeting is Monday.

Since I was blindsided last Thursday I don't count out more of the same.

I have no shame. I've done the best I can, communicated the problems as best I could, and beat my head against the brick wall the best way I know how.

So, it's just a feeling.

I neglected to add the blindside meeting was meant to discuss my time-off submittals from my FMLA stuff...it got all mixed up due to 'you can't do that you have to do this' and 'you can't do this you have to do that.'

Then bigger wigs kept filtering into the room. It was fun.

I'm breathing.

At this point, whatever happens happens. And when one door hits you in the ass there are plenty more doors waiting to also hit you in your ass. ;)

Cicero gave me this gem when I was in a similar place and I found it helpful. I look forward to more success stories from you, regardless.

It's financial. I can't jump.

I talked to my buddy today (coincidence she was here on her new job, long story...not affiliated with 'here') whose 'track' they have me on to a T! When they finally tortured her enough and let her go they didn't fight her unemployment and she did get her vacation pay paid out (I have ~200 hours.)

I need money to live. But if it happens I am prepared. In the meantime I need to remember that I need money and I have to stick it out until I either find something elsewhere or I'm pushed.

:) Thanks!

The answer is yes...don't know about beyond that.

Thanks guys, helped alleviate some anxiety for me.

Big meeting on monday.

Hang in there, and make them push. Those vacation hours are yours, dammit. You will not be intimidated.
limey • Mar 10, 2013 7:35 pm
Good luck IM. If'n what you want is to be pushed, then try not to stress too much while they do your work for you: I.e. make it possible for you and the job to part company in a way that is financially viable for you. Win, win -no?
