lazy sunday

Trilby • Jan 20, 2013 11:55 am
I have this entire day ahead of me to do with what I will.

I don't feel like doing anything.

I could clean (god knows the place needs it) I could brush the kittehs but I won't and I could..l don't know. help the homeless.

I feel guilty on these days. I have enough time to paint the damn bathroom if I want.

I blame my overachieving family esp. older sister.

what do you guys blame?

I blame no one.

I blame the Puritan work ethic that makes us feel strangely useless if we take a day to veg.

I don't feel guilty for being lazy. :D What's so wrong about taking a day to relax when there's nothing dire needed to be done?

I'm with Fargon. Sheesh, enjoy your time, no matter what time you have. Today is a sit on the couch with the feet up, watching the A Team and playing World of Warcraft. Kids have been warned, they are on a fend for yourself day, dinner will be taquitos cooked in the oven (household fast food), only emergencies will be delt with. That's right, no blood or broken bones and you can learn to get along with out my input today.

Amount of guilt felt: ZERO. Maybe I'm just a heartless bastard.

Even God took off one day a week.

God doesn't have cows to feed everyday. No day off if you have livestock. No set hours, but no day off.

aw....all this confirmation has cheered me.

I've scrubbed the cats' room - that's IT. I should walk the dog but I'm too lazy and its blowy cold out.
Nirvana • Jan 20, 2013 2:42 pm
Cats have their own room? Lucky bastards! ;)

Our cats had their own house... they just let us live there to cater to their every whim. I remember an apt quote - "Dogs have owners - cats have STAFF"

You have a cathouse!

Lucky bastard! ;)

Sadly, the herd has thinned to zero (from 8). The oldest was 21, and the last to go was 18. We're taking a brief hiatus from feline service, but will probably have some again (just NOT 8).

God's livestock took care of themselves. For a minute or two, anyway...

:D
