Well ... Goodbye Dolly

Dolly the Sheep was euthanized Friday.

In addition to the already-identified arthritis, she apparently developed a progressive lung disease.

I suspect she'll get one of the most thorough necropsies ever.

She was a two-pack-a-day smoker... I'm not surprised

The one and only news report I saw on this on tv yesterday said that this was almost certainly indicative of the flaws with cloning.

Pretty scientific statement, huh?

Yeah, this was some baaaaaaad news on the cloning front.

I'll be the scientists responsible for this are feeling a little sheepish right now.

Will you have the mutton? or...perhaps...the mutton?

She came into the world like a lion, and went out like a lamb.
