We'll probably need a dedicated WTF thread in this case. Probably a dedicated server and a back-up power supply as well.

WTF seems entirely accurate.
Astronomers have spotted a supersonic cosmic jet blasting two million light years from the centre of a distant galaxy's supermassive black hole.
That's not hard. Everything in space is supersonic. Because sound does not move in space (even though sound exists in a "galaxy far, far away").
What is the 'supersonic'-equivalent adjective used to describe something traveling at or beyond the speed of light?
I think I know this, but, I'm drawing a blank.
"Superluminal", or FTL. The realm of science fiction (or theoretical tachyons).
I had my tachyons removed when I was 7. I got lots of Ice cream and attention, though, so it wasnt too bad.
What is the 'supersonic'-equivalent adjective used to describe something traveling at or beyond the speed of light?
Impossible.
(In Star Trek, Warp Speed.)
Impossible to describe? By you????????????????????????
I don't believe it.
:D
This is truly disturbing news.
i shall alert my Apocalypse friend. She's always posting about the coming doom; she's a True Believer.
She also thinks it's Obama's fault.
But I like her anyway. She's a really nice person..
