I really shouldn't be checking the election map every 5 minutes but can't help myself

Going to try to be productive tonight but I feel I will be going at a slow pace, especially in a few hours...

In case you can't find it on the interweb.

I'm not touching any news outlets until at least tomorrow morning. Watching the results come in will be like watching Storm Sandy's progress in real time... really slow and monotonous for 12-24 hours.
Stormieweather • Nov 6, 2012 8:49 pm
It's so close the winner flips back and forth depending on the state being awarded. Sooooo (uncomfortably) close.

Yes, I'm glued to the map updates.

At least the worst of the constitutional amendments in Florida appear to have been defeated. They were scary.

NBC just called Wisconsin for Obama. That surprised me and is really good for him.

Would one of you give Dick Morris a call please?

Prediction! Dick Morris TV: Special Election Alert!
Prediction: Romney 325, Obama 213
By Dick Morris on November 5, 2012

Published on TheHill.com on November 5, 2012

Yup. That’s right. A landslide for Romney approaching the magnitude of Obama’s against McCain. That’s my prediction.

On Sunday, we changed our clocks. On Tuesday, we’ll change our president.

Romney will win the states McCain carried in 2008, plus: Florida, Indiana, Virginia, North Carolina, Colorado, Iowa, Ohio, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

In the popular vote, Romney will win by more than 5 points.

40,000 vote lead with 87% precincts reporting in FL

Heard that. Yet right now Romney is leading Wisconsin.

I know that means nothing right now since most votes aren't counted but I found that funny.

Also, Penn is given to Obama too. Romney will basically have to win out now. Ohio and Florida are the big questions right now.

NBC is still calling Wisconsin for Obama but the online maps in the links above are showing Romney is winning that one by around 53% to 45%. Weird.

Looks like Obama is gonna win Florida. He's up by 40,000 with almost 90% reporting. If he wins Florida, that's it. Game over.

I'm going to bed. Sad for Virginia, but the rest is looking good.

obama margin in VA is 50k votes and climbing

I swore I was gonna wait until morning and failed miserably.

So, Obama has all the electoral votes he needs +14. Romney has 200 and I don't think the remaining states to be counted will vault him to 270+ if he wins them all.

Has Romney conceded yet? I haven't seen news that he has. Or will the Right drag him out and tar and feather him if he concedes before the lawyers have a go regarding the popular vote?
piercehawkeye45 • Nov 7, 2012 12:35 am
Romney apparently didn't write a concession speech. Now he looks really stupid.
piercehawkeye45 • Nov 7, 2012 12:48 am
Nate Silver may have just predicted every state correctly. Wow.

Love and hope and sex and dreams are still surviving on the street?

Pride and joy and greed and sex, that's what makes our town the best. Pride and joy and dirty dreams and still surviving on the street and look at me, I'm in tatters!
