Ok, this is interesting, in a cause and effect kind of way.
Actually, part of the reason is that the middle name Wayne is very popular in Texas and Texas is the serial killer capital of the world.:D 1/5 to 1/4 of that is list is Texans.;)

I suspect that aggressive-personality fathers during the 1950s and 1960s did in fact hopefully and disproportionately name their boys after that era's icon of ruggedness, John Wayne.
