You have a defense that earns points, and one defensive player that earns individual stats like sacks or ints. You have a qb slot and a flex slot that can be a qb, rb or wr each week. Savy?

Demarcus Ware was a good acquisition. 2 sacks 3 points each plus a 10 point 2 sack in one game bonus! woot!, 3 tackles. 27 points from a defensive player is a rarity.

And this week I'm especially bummed that I didn't get Romo in the draft.... after his 300 yard 3 touchdown game playing for my opponent, who happens to be a lousy Eagles Fan.

The newspaper this morning is all about RG3. I've always been annoyed by the Skins and the coverage they get here, and it's amusing to see the coverage now that they seem to actually have a good player. They are actually admitting that they have sucked for a while and are now finally in contention.

Eta: it occurs to me that some of you may not know that you can make substitutions right up until game time, provided neither player has started yet.

So, at 3:55 pm est, if you have a starting WR that plays a 4pm game, and a WR on your bench that plays at 4 or 8:30 or monday, you can still switch them.

the guru is a computer that projects the points the player 'should' score, but I don't think it factors marginally injured players.

I could be wrong, but I think Crabtree vs the Vikings defense is a MUCH better play than a gimpy Jennings against a tough Seahawks D.

Or maybe he only wants you to think that...

Yeah, I read those little notes, and thought about that. It's a risk, but the guru said that Jennings will earn twice as many points as Crabtree if he plays.

I'll check again before the games tomorrow. Guru says youre going to cream me anyway, so 10 points might not make a difference.

I'm pretty sure that every week the guru has told me I'm going to win, but yet I've lost 80% of my games. I know I've been able to find a button somewhere that shows me previous guru predictions and then I was able to compare to actual results, but I can never find that link when I look for it. They don't make it easy to see how badly the guru is wrong.

Perhaps I need to reevaluate my strategy of listening to the guru's opinion. Maybe I should go with funny names or something instead.

I'm still playing, despite the total lack of anything resembling sportsmanship and fun.

I was going to point out earlier this morning that you needed to do some serious work on your team, but then I looked at your record and realized you were on top of it. I'd only be insulting you.

I've been fortunate so far that I've only had one or two on bye. When you have half a dozen players on bye, it's got to be frustrating.

It was inevitable I'd run into this mess...my nonexistent strategy seems to be to have a couple people from one team playing a couple people from another team.

I looked this week and started laughing. My team has been systematically dismantled. My strategy has hit the stratosphere of nonexistent.

Well, you're number 3 of 10 in the coach rankings. And being a coach is the only thing you can do in this game. You can't go out there and play on the field.

Your one QB is in a bye, the other has lost his starting job... you should hit "ADD" and find two free agent QBs and drop two players from your bench. Then after those moves take effect, you should move your two QBs into starting positions.

Guru has me beating the Rats by 30 points, which of course, means she'll win by 100.

As the season progresses, so many people getting hurt. It's funny, I have Greg Jennings, and he's been out the last couple weeks with a serious groin injury, but the guru keeps saying he'll be racking up the points. Really makes me wonder where they come up with these numbers.

This is the worst week ever. Lost most of my team. I keep looking for things to tweak but none of it nets me a better prediction. All I can hope for is what makes football so damn fun to start with: anything can happen!

yes, you can. The system will prevent anyone from hogging. teams get prioritized based on rank, and then there are turns. so, go for it.

priority to teams lowest in the overall league standings each week and moves teams to the lowest waiver priority after each successful claim

There will be 6 playoff teams. that hasn't changed. What I changed was that the Championship game will be split over 2 weeks. The playoffs start early in FF. That's because not all teams make the NFL playoffs, and people with good players on bad teams would get screwed.

The "Super Bowl" of our league will be scored using the total of NFL weeks 16 and 17.


I think this is cool, because sometimes, if your guy is on a team that has locked up their division, they might sit your guy for that last game to save him for the playoff games.

So OUR playoffs begin with the wildcard games during NFL week 14. that's in 3 weeks. week 12 is coming up starting Thursday with 3 Thanksgiving Day games. Cowboys v Foreskins, Lions v. Texans, and Jets v Patriots.

This leaves us [SIZE="4"]2Weeks! [/SIZE]to get into the top 6. The 2 division winners will go, and the next best 4 teams regardless of division. As the standings read today, the 2 division winners would be the Goats and the Chasers. Wildcard teams would be the Toads, the Rats, the Bullies, and Eagle Green, in that order.

Yeah I blew it. My massive change in schedule I didn't set up the team. But I've been slowly losing it over the last few weeks, and you could have beaten me anyway.

Romo got 78.8 points, and it looks like I picked 2 good wideouts at least. A. Johnson got 32, and Bryant 43! And The Chasers are suffering from an Eagle laden roster.... most of whom are injured, and the rest disheartened.

Yeah, the Cowboys kicker went above and beyond for me yesterday. That was a great game, the Skins did really well, which puts everyone in this area in a good mood, and Dallas did a lot of kicking for me.

We could sure use some of that good mood around here. The Eagles have been doing so badly for so long, though, I think it would piss people off more if they won a game at this point.

Tragedy in Kansas City yesterday. It seems small to mention it in relations to fantasy football but it will effect how the game is played. At first I thought they needed to shutdown for the day, but game-time may be the only break from this the players and coaches will get.

Watching the Giants/Ravens game. It occurs to me that the absolute best thing about football is the refs and how they influence the game. But instead of just stopping the play for a couple minutes while everyone waits for the refs to decide what just happens, they should also have a panel of robed judges with powdered wigs sitting at a large bench on the 50 yardd line. And each team should have a game lawyer who can present arguments to the panel of judges. Of course, the refs need a lawyer to present their arguments. After the judges rule, the team that lost the ruling should be able to appeal to a court at NFL headquarters.

Keep big government out of football! ;)
