A court in Germany has ruled that circumcising young boys for religious reasons amounts to bodily harm.

In a decision that has caused outrage among Jewish and Muslim groups, the court said that a child's right to physical integrity trumps religious and parental rights.

Ok, it's not actually binding, so the title isn't exactly accurate, but I was so pleased with the headlineyness of it :p

Oof. Not sure I disagree, but, Germany.. talk about bad optics.

Will that include banning parents from getting a young child's ears pierced? Or is the ruling solely focused on the dangly bits?
