The Positive Thread

Pick something that's been kinda shitty for you today and be positive about it.

Today I have eczema all over my face, hands, knees, elbows, thighs, behind the ears....anywhere with delicate skin...... and all the places you shouldn't use steroid cream.

1) It was cooler today and it wasn't as bad as yesterday
2) I generally see myself as plain at best. Today I look at least 10 years older and way, way uglier, but no-one in the park did a double-take or offered to help me sit down/cross the street, so I figure I can't be all that bad at norm  (my eyelids this morning were so swollen they were impairing my vision)
3) it helped me justify a badly needed "lazy" day
4) I learned it's more seasonal that I had previously realised, and -apart from the face and hands- appears in the heat-rash prone areas. I'm sure this can help me do more to prevent it and treat it in future.

Got some blood work results back from a physical last week. I had moderately high glucose levels. WTF? If I don't do anything, I'm on my way to diabetes.

So the positive in this is that I'm now motivated to improve my diet and figure out some sort of exercise routine. Looking back, I have been eating more sweets than usual. I'll cut those out right away.

I'm sore from extensive yardwork, especially my lower back. Turns out the remedy for this kind of soreness is ibuprofen and more yardwork. Upside: lots of yardwork got done.

Kinda shitty today: Hips hurt like the dickens.

Bright side:
Could be worse, could be raining.
