Well, yea, unless the game of life is in a Nash Equilibrium. Then you might be able to come out ahead. But, that being said, you're still gonna die. Which reminds me of a line from one of my favorite songs...Jesus loves me, but you're going to fry.

I don't mean he believes a zero sum game as in death. I mean he thinks if he wins that I lose and vice versa - that
life is a competition, a fight to the death, that some MUST
be thrown overboard. It is a niggardly way to be.

I disagree. Though I don't like the phrase, I believe there can often be "win-win" situations.
