The Nice New Thread

Undertoad • Mar 2, 2012 12:29 pm
In this thread we are nice to each other. Not with irony or sarcasm either, it must be actual niceness.
glatt • Mar 2, 2012 12:38 pm
Look at this nice thread. So much space. And the potential! I see a bright future for this one. Well done, starting it. We can always use more niceness in the world.
Undertoad • Mar 2, 2012 12:42 pm
I hoped you would chime in, glatt, because you always have sensible and interesting things to say.
infinite monkey • Mar 2, 2012 12:52 pm
That's because glatt is, like, the most awesomest man on earth.

Well, almost the most awesomest.
classicman • Mar 2, 2012 12:52 pm
tw posts some really funny comments.
HungLikeJesus • Mar 2, 2012 1:03 pm
Infinite money adds a lot of value to the Cellar. I mostly come to the Cellar for the humor, and this is often provided by infinite monkey. There are many other funny posters, but I don't want to make a list. They know who they are.

Wait what??? Where's mine!
Trilby • Mar 2, 2012 1:09 pm
I, too, appreciate IM's contributions to the Cellar. And you are so right, HLJ, there should not be a "list" as, I think we can all agree, the Nazi's made list-making a Very Bad Thing To Do. Hence, no lists. But there are many, many wonderful people here and I do enjoy interacting with them. I find a lot of support here in the cellar and am very grateful that UT made a nice cozy place for all of us to have coffee and talk.
infinite monkey • Mar 2, 2012 1:26 pm
You're very kind, thank you.

That is the whole trouble with this kind of thread though. It becomes a 'list' of sorts and you're singling out people by not including them.

I immediately thought "oh I love hlj and I love brianna and you're way funny" then where do I end it?

(but you really made my day.)
glatt • Mar 2, 2012 1:30 pm
I appreciate all the compliments. The cellar really is a wonderful place. You guys all rock. I love coming here, because all of you are here.
Spexxvet • Mar 2, 2012 1:47 pm
I won't make a list, I'll just say that ALL Dwellars are physically attractive, smart, funny, compassionate, friendly, brave, and have that certain je ne c'est pas.

I so hope you meant that the way you wrote it because it is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time: je ne c'est pas.

CLEVER!

sniiiiiiiiffffffffffFFFFF! AHHHhhhhhhh! that new thread smell! don'tcha love it?!
Undertoad • Mar 2, 2012 1:54 pm
Everyone should understand that not being specifically mentioned doesn't mean they aren't great people too. There are a lot of fine folks out there who don't have enough time to become regulars. If they had the time to read this thread I'm sure they would have something nice to add.
Happy Monkey • Mar 2, 2012 1:56 pm
This is a nice new thread you've got here. A shame if something... happened to it.
HungLikeJesus • Mar 2, 2012 1:58 pm
Undertoad often strives to make the Cellar a better and more positive place, thereby improving the condition of the world.
limey • Mar 2, 2012 2:00 pm
I always find something interesting when I come to teh Cellar. Whether it's a comment, or an exchange, or a photograph it's a real pleasure to be part of this community.
classicman • Mar 2, 2012 2:58 pm
York is a wonderful contributor as well. His daughter is teh cute!
regular.joe • Mar 2, 2012 3:22 pm
Just want you all to know that you are all pretty cool in my book.
sexobon • Mar 2, 2012 5:04 pm
Dwellars are the stem cells of the internet.
Sundae • Mar 2, 2012 5:34 pm
I came here for the intelligence.
Laughed inappropriately loud at the humour.
Stayed for the community.
Love the connections with Merks & Aussies.
Follow the recipes.

And feel. Feel the love.

I found my peer group online.
Ten years ago I wouldn't have believed I had a peer group, or that the internet would deliver it, or that it would be [mostly] furrin.

Live and learn.
Specially from the Cellar.
I love this place.
Griff • Mar 2, 2012 9:36 pm
Y'all are just good decent people, it makes me feel better about mankind's chances seeing you people pause and think about stuff. Your dogs are cute too.

I love every one of you.

Like, hugging and kissing loving!

But not baby-making loving, because you don't want my genes anyway. But lots of bumping-uglies loving, oh yeah!
jimhelm • Mar 4, 2012 2:30 am
Define.....uglies....

Bmup!

Do threads like this need to be dry cleaned?
Gravdigr • Mar 5, 2012 5:17 pm
Doesn't matter, you can't get that outta suede...
wolf • Mar 5, 2012 8:49 pm
Did Anthony think somebody into the cornfield again?
Blueflare • Mar 6, 2012 12:12 pm
I'm new, so be nice. You don't appear to have one of those introductory boards, so I'll dive right in.

I actually used to be a member here like 6 years ago. Not sure why I came back. I remember this place as being pretty cool and interesting.
Clodfobble • Mar 7, 2012 3:43 pm
Ooh, incognito! Will you tell us your old username if we complete some heroic task?

Has it been 6 years since jaguar left?

Edit: yes. yes it has.

jaguar, is that you?
wolf • Mar 7, 2012 4:59 pm
I think the last time jag showed up he posted as himself, didn't he?
HungLikeJesus • Mar 7, 2012 5:08 pm
That was before he was bought out by Tata.
Blueflare • Mar 7, 2012 6:04 pm
I would reveal my old username but I don't remember it lol. That's the main reason I registered again. Also I like this username.

Edit: On thinking about it, the name Jaguar rings a bell with me, very vaguely - though that definitely wasn't me. But this is one of those things where I'm not sure whether I actually remember it or whether I just think I remember it after someone else mentioned it.
Clodfobble • Mar 7, 2012 6:46 pm
Well... many happy returns!
infinite monkey • Mar 7, 2012 6:50 pm
Since the member list contains nearly everyone, alphabetically, you could go with reading through every page to see if you recognize a name.

I'd start with "amnesia" and work your way to "forgot."

I think you can sort by number of posts too...maybe other stuff. I mean, if you care. I don't! Unless you were mean. But I think you were before my time. Um, whoever you are.
Clodfobble • Mar 7, 2012 6:58 pm
You could sort by join date, if you remember roughly when you came. Or last visit date, if 6 years is really right.
limey • Mar 8, 2012 7:01 am
Or you could just settle right in and not worry about that ole stuff.
WB!

If he took his handle, Jaguar, from the car, he's prolly on the side of the road broke down...
