RocK Stars Live Forever
ZenGum • Feb 27, 2012 7:18 pm
Well, lots of them have already died. False. QED.

I'm glad we had this chat.

In Metaphoric Terms The Soul Moves On. The Body is the Shell of the Soul. Yes I agree the Body Dies. But the Heart and Soul Move On. "Rock-N-Roll is a Piece of Soul" Therefore If the RocKSteR is TRUE to Jesus He Never Dies. It's True. NeXt.
ZenGum • Feb 27, 2012 7:26 pm
No true rock star follows Jesus. Still dead.
classicman • Feb 27, 2012 7:26 pm
It is true that the hunter goes around the frikkin squirrel!
JBKlyde • Feb 27, 2012 7:32 pm
If that's the case then ZenGum you are taking sides with Islam by saying that America Is the Great Satan.

SO here's my remedy for all that demented bs that those heavy metal lying tounges of rock-n-roll past present and future have to say..

Jesus IS the Rock and Rock IsReal.

And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
Cause we'll never be wrong together
We can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Once upon a time I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart
Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart

ROCK WILL NEVER DIE!!!11!!1!
ZenGum • Feb 27, 2012 11:07 pm
:lol2: at Rhianne

Heavy decibels are playing on my guitar
We got vibrations coming up from the floor
We're just listening to the rock that's giving too much noise
Are you deaf, you wanna hear some more

We're just talkin' about the future
Forget about the past
It'll always be with us
It's never gonna die, never gonna die

Rock 'n' roll ain't noise pollution
Rock 'n' roll ain't gonna die
Rock 'n' roll ain't noise pollution
Rock 'n' roll it will survive

Yes it will, ha ha ha ha

Rockstars come and rockstars go, but the Rock itself will last ... well, maybe until the heat death of the universe or something. Unless Chuck Norris punches it first.
Spexxvet • Feb 28, 2012 10:33 am
Rocks are not eternal. Stars are not eternal. Ergo, rock stars are not eternal. Jesus was the Rick Astley of his generation, though.
Sundae • Feb 28, 2012 11:41 am
Rick Astley is still alive at 46.
Just sayin'.

Jim Morrison
Jimi Hendrix
Keith Moon
Janis Joplin
Mama Cass
Assorted Drummers for Spinal Tap
etc. etc. This fellow has an extensive list

Myth Busted.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ron Wood are extreme outliers and should not be included in data set for purposes of proving or denying the proposition.
Happy Monkey • Feb 28, 2012 12:29 pm
A better busting of the myth, even metaphorically, is.... you know... that guy. The rock star who died back then... He was all the rage? Remember? With the song?
glatt • Feb 28, 2012 12:34 pm
On the one hand,
"Hey, Hey. My, My. Rock and roll will never die."
But consider the other position,
"The heat death of the universe is a suggested ultimate fate of the universe, in which the universe has diminished to a state of no thermodynamic free energy and therefore can no longer sustain motion or life."

"Forever" is a concept that humans throw around quite a bit, but we can't comprehend it. It's a very, very, very long time, multiplied by infinity.
footfootfoot • Feb 28, 2012 12:35 pm
Yes! with that awesome guitar riff.
wolf • Feb 28, 2012 12:54 pm
Rock and Roll will never die, rock and rollers die with alarming frequency.

Keith Richard dies years ago. What is continuing to walk this earth is his drug-animated corpse.
Sundae • Feb 28, 2012 1:16 pm
Paul McCartney
wolf • Feb 28, 2012 2:44 pm
Oh. yeah. Keith Richards.

The Stones were in the middle of recording the album that came to be titled Voodoo Lounge in Late 93/early 94 when Keith collapsed and died after a particularly strenuous guitar riff. A voodoo houngan was flown to the recording studio in great secrecy to appeal to the spirits and apply zombie powder to the corpse. His ministrations were quite successful. Not only did he get a nod in the changing of the album title, which was to be "Airport Lounge" to "Voodoo Lounge," he has been on retainer ever since, and is mentioned only as "our special friend" in subsequent album and tour book notes.

Sounds like somebody's been thinking about the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar.

I played the Original Cast Recording *to death* at a very formative stage of my musical life. I still know all the words to all the songs. What an AWESOME spectacle! That one definitely qualifies as "lives forever".
Spexxvet • Feb 29, 2012 8:41 am
Same.

Who is this broken man, cluttering up my hallway?
