How do you spell.. conscious?? I think if people saw the net as a place to discover ((and I think they do)) then our minds would be more open to change.. when I say things the Midevil and relate them to music and sports every body gets so rowed up and no one looks to say hey noone's perfect.. there are places in the bible where God calls us evil and there are instances where we need to put evil into perspective after all no one is with out sin and sin is evil. So If anyone has a problem with me just consider it a necessary evil. In fact I'll look at it this way.. you can call me Jason Necessary Evil.

Just a thought.

infinite monkey • Feb 5, 2012 6:56 pm
Uh, guys...only 11 allowed on the field.

Still, I do hope it's a game.
wolf • Feb 5, 2012 8:55 pm
All right, I know I said I wasn't going to watch the halftime show because I don't care for Madonna, and I still don't, but I was slow in hoisting my ass off the couch to make a sandwich ... Egyptian Roman Valkyrie Madonna? WTF? Doing a cartwheel, WTFer?

JB might have something here, people.
Griff • Feb 5, 2012 8:58 pm

That was the best moment!
The worst would be the dismantling of God Bless America. Who were those clowns?

Still doing a victory dance! Although watching the Giants win in a pub in Switzerland is like listening to music with headphones on: You are having a blast but the people around you know are up to something but have no idea what the hell it is!

Don't like country music? I thought it was fine.
Griff • Feb 7, 2012 6:23 am
I like bluegrass and the occasional country song but admittedly it isn't my favorite. Unlike Kelly Clarkson who did a nice job on a difficult song, what I heard was a couple with put-on accents making a hash of an easy song to sing.
infinite monkey • Feb 7, 2012 8:13 am
I'm sorry, not, that I missed that. Who was it?

Oh, I looked it up. I have to agree with Griff on this one. I've always liked that they don't try to make Kelly Clarkson "country" like they did with Carrie Underwood. For CU, to me, that's the best she can do.

I've heard of Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, but that's as far as my knowledge of them goes.

Yes, there are occasional good country songs, and bluegrass is indeed very nice, but Hats and Fluff do not good music make.

We must have different ears. I thought it was a simple and straightforward performance. They hit the notes and didn't flub any lines.

I will acknowledge that Clarkson had the more difficult job. And I also thought she did a great job of it. I've never cared for Christina Aguilera's vocal gymnastics.
infinite monkey • Feb 7, 2012 10:16 am
I agree with you there, Pete. I used to like Christina, but hearing her constantly doing the 'wavy' voice thing (don't know what that's called musically) turns me right off. Being wavy in certain spots is very nice...but not EVERY single note.

Clarkson even did a little bit more of that than I'd hoped, but she is quite talented and I thought it was lovely nonetheless.

Best since Whitney

O.M.G.

I have chicken skin (goosebumps.) Sometimes I forget how amazing Whitney is, then I see something like this.

She is perfection walking around like a mere mortal. :)

When she's not high.
infinite monkey • Feb 9, 2012 10:14 am
Right.

None of her personal issues negate the fact that she's a talented, beautiful woman.
monster • Feb 9, 2012 6:41 pm
ooh, I didn't like that Whitney one.

Great find. I think that's the least funny Superbowl cartoon I've ever seen.

And then I laughed.

Measles outbreak threatens registration

STAFF REPORTS Purdue Exponent
The Indiana Department of Health reported an outbreak
of measles at the Super Bowl in Indianapolis this weekend.

Students who have not had the measles immunization
may be excluded from classes and other campus activities.

The University is sending out emails to students who do not yet have the immunization
that they have until March 12 to show the appropriate documentation.
After the deadline, students will be unable to register for classes.
There are a little under a thousand of these students.

If there is a confirmed case of measles on campus, all students without measles immunization
will not be allowed to attend classes and other campus activities.
This will last for the duration of any potential outbreak,
which is no less than seven days and possibly more than 21 days.

The vaccinations have a 30-day window before a person can be considered immune to the disease.

And in-fact I don't really think I'm evil at all.. I just think I'm misguided.. like a stunt man on the net.. Evil-Knevil called himself evil and no-one had a problem with it.. So why don't you just consider me a Good Man with ill behavior..

Well that was prophetic, or at least synchronicity.
wolf • Feb 12, 2012 9:37 pm
Didn't realize the discussion was going on over here, but I'll reiterate ... no like fancy, extra high notes, woo woo versions of the Star Spangled Banner. (okay, there is one place where you can hit the high note and go for the higher one, but that's it. Just the one). No Warbling Zone. Penalty flags should be thrown!

especially Whitney's.

They're passing this off as just any measles outbreak, but it's terrorism, I tell you. Just like that Tom Clancy novel, you know, not the one where he nukes the SuperBowl, or the one where he flew a plane into the White House, but that other one, with the biological attacks at the trade show and the sporting events. That one.
