for my son for xmas. i'm definitely buying him halo 2 but want to get a few more as well. i have absolutely no idea what. i'd seen halo back when it came out and liked it then. but that was then this is now. keep in mind trevor is 10 so i'd like to keep it somewhat on the good side. i am tempted to go get call of duty for him but i know, i know, he's 10. comparatively speaking, what is available football-wise? i can google and find out but i want people i know and trust opinions. doesn't have to be football either. any and all suggestions are welcome.

I went to the expert, my 16 year old. He says sports games suck pond water. For a 10 year old, Lego Star Wars. Come to think of it...any Lego game, but definitely Leto Star Wars.

We have a PS3, so I don't know if the titles are pretty much the same or what...

My 10 year old son likes NCAA football 12 (or whatever the most recent one is.) He likes playing the college teams and creating players and teams, etc. He is actually playing that as I type.

He also likes the Madden games.

We have Little Big Planet, which you can play multiplayer with I think 4 players. That is a fun one.

I have considered getting him Call of Duty World at War because he is fascinated with WW2. I don't worry too much about the M rating on that one. I just don't want him playing Red Dead Redemption...pretty inappropriate for a 10 year old. But a WW2 game wouldn't bother me so much. YMMV, of course.

Yes, and there is Force Unleashed 2 which is I think a Star Wars game which he is really keen on.

And Portal I guess is pretty fun.

Well, you know my boys are close to Trevor's age and although I tried to keep them away from the shooting games - its what their into (ages 6 and 8). I dont worry too much about the ratings now.

Favs are:
Turok (who doesnt like to kill a dinosaur with a chainsaw)
Any of the Lego games - Indianna Jones & Starwars are fun
Crash Bandicoot
Halo - we have them all
Spiderman
Bionicle

They did start playing Grand Theft Auto (which is my game) and I put a halt to that and Hitman is another I dont let them play.

The latest one, lego star wars clone wars, has a lot in it, different things to do not follow a linear storyline
