His county is in a different time zone.

They also require by local statute that he do math only in base 8.

Pi is equal to 4 (they felt that by rounding down, some circles were getting shortchanged).

Northern PA is like a totally different country. (and you know what, I LIKE that country).

It's the darndest thing. People are actually NICE up here ... you know how people are kind of generally cranky and irritable in the industrial northeast? Totally not happening in this area.

I'm going to go play in the snow now, I think ...

People can afford to be nice out in the heels. They're (generally speaking) more independant less stressed and have the space that human beings need.

It's also true that in the rural areas people are not faceless scenery, getting in your way, holding you up on the road and generally pissing you off. Most everyone is somebody's friend or brother, cousin etc.

Thats just my opinion though, I have always hated the city. Too many people, not enough guns for upstanding people to kick ass and chew bubblegum with when people are assheads.

I think it may have to do with the number of people who are carrying guns ... "An armed society is a polite society" ... or so I've heard ...
