Ewwwwwwwwwww!
Tampons set my teeth on edge (yes, I know that they're not supposed to go in there!)
Like drying up a wooden spoon.
infinite monkey • Oct 31, 2011 4:35 pm
You mean like wet yarn?

That makes my teeth hurt.

 You all are just posting that because you know I'm posting during my menses! Now I am crying uncontrollably while riding the hormone rollercoaster and it is all your fault!

Wow, I knew you were really smart but I had no idea you were a member of that genius society! :D

Yard is set (2 hours), candy open, beer about to get opened, pumpkin carved (5 mins) This is Halloween on Speed. I made My Cap'n Scrip costume for the parade today in 10 minutes -I had a scrip hat, earring, eyepatch and a scrip-o-nine-tails.

15 mins 'til (daylight) witching begins! (grrrr grumble, should be sark, clocks should have gone back mutter mutter)
Nirvana • Oct 31, 2011 5:46 pm
No tampon ghosties? ;) Come to think of it, that might be something that would keep the kids away ...

Not that house JR, keep walkin'
monster • Oct 31, 2011 5:47 pm
Apparently I'm allergic to pumpkin. no wonder I think it tastes nasty
monster • Oct 31, 2011 5:48 pm
I only just saw the tampon ghosties idea....

used ones would be way, way too far, right? It's recycling, though.....
Sundae • Oct 31, 2011 5:49 pm
And just when I thought it couldn't get any grimmer.....
(yeah, yeah, vampire teabags)
monster • Oct 31, 2011 9:27 pm
And we're all done and (unusually for us) almost all packed and stored away....

Strange but good year ...there were 15minute+ patches with no-one, then 30-40 in about ten minutes....

we got approx 120. Only a few adults, plenty of toddlers with NFI what it was about (Guess who's eating all that candy?) What was strange was the lack of minivans parked as people bussed kids in. They were bussing kids in, but they were moving the vans with them. Are people unusually spooked this year? Or is it because if was a liitle chilly with a teeny-weeny chance of rain?

Did get one adult -while it was still light (about 6:20) with two buckets who came up and said "two please". As I raised an eyebrow she said, "they're too tired already"
Lola Bunny • Oct 31, 2011 9:39 pm
I went trick-or-treating, hihi. Eating the candies right now. :D
monster • Oct 31, 2011 9:55 pm
Did you dress up?
HungLikeJesus • Oct 31, 2011 10:18 pm
No, she was naked.

I thought about it but never made the time. Someone suggested dressing up all green and say that I'm a leaf. Cool idea except I don't have any green clothing. And no, naked wasn't a good idea. I was at the tail end of a group of kids. After all the kids have gotten their candies, I would come to the door and obnoxiously ask, "Any good candy???" :D Yeah, I only did that to friendly homes. :p:

We had a nice Halloween. Went to Pumpkin Glow - a hill by the Art Museum that had about 500 lit Jack-o-lanters. It was really cool.

Love the Halloween. Love it.

now we can all start thinking about turkey day...

Anyone else have pumpkin drops? I did not go but around here parents take their kids to watch pumpkins being dropped from cranes and cherry pickers etc. I don't get this but it must be popular.
