I know that there are a lot of repeated ideas in the Cellar, but I don't know which are general internet memes and which are specific to the Cellar.

What about clone threads?
What about dolphins, hobos, planes on treadmills, and whale penises?

Flint started this excellent DO NOT WANT thread, in which it was remarked that "I think the only actual Cellar meme is the shark/dolphin thing."

Is that true? I don't participate in the internet outside of the Cellar.

"dwellar" is cellar specific for us'ns

I'm pretty sure the shark/dolphin thing happens all over the interwebs.

I think the whale penis is fairly specific to the cellar isn't it?

Clone threads started elsewhere, Flint brought them to us.

Dolphins started here with this thread. The question of whether it was dolphin or shark was asked and solved elsewhere, but it was meme'd here.

Hobos you will have to ask IM, I think she started killing hobos as a hobby and brought it up here.

The plane on a treadmill question started being asked widely on the net. knowyourmeme.com does not consider it a meme.

Whale penis is ours; it first appeared in IOTD. Sycamore even started a domain for the church of the whale penis at one point. He also created a Facebook page for it. At first we wanted the Cellar to be #1 for the term "whale penis" in google. We were at one point, but have since fallen completely off.

Hobos are original. I didn't think I made it up but a previous discuussion said I did.

Haggis started because I was telling y'all that when I tried to type hahahaha the predictive text on my phone predicted I wanted to type haggis. Ut put the kibosh on lol and the haggis meme was born. :)

It vowel and consonant rhymes with "theme". It's close to that word in meaning too.
