Silhouette match

I competed in my second silhouette match today and shot an 8/40.

Not at all bad considering:
My trigger has a seven pound pull
I'm shooting with a semi auto Marlin 60
Of the seven of us the scores were 13, 13, 12, 9, 8, 8.

Still, I'm not gonna win any national trophies until I shoot in the high 30s. I remind myself, "Even dwarves started small."

But that's only six scores, isn't it?

Hold on, let me close one eye and count them again.

The missing score was a ten.

The small bore match uses four targets at 40yards (chickens) 60yards (Javelinas) 77yards (Turkeys) 100yards (Rams) The targets are 1/5 scale

Here's a jpeg of the targets, their ranges, and their sizes. It's a one inch grid.
