What is making you momentarily euphoric?

monster • May 21, 2011 6:15 pm
I found the error in my quickbooks reconcilliation! Fuck yeah. :thumb: Reconcile that, you bastard.

....OK, over it now, thanks for listening.
casimendocina • May 22, 2011 12:40 am
YAY!

I'm hoping for a eureka moment sometime today. Hasn't happened yet though.
casimendocina • May 22, 2011 6:54 am
Still no eureka moment...just lots of INCORRECT in red when I click on the submit button.
wolf • May 22, 2011 5:30 pm
I think my blood sugar may be low, which makes me a bit goofy.
Griff • May 22, 2011 6:42 pm
I just finished the Annual Reviews I had to write this weekend...

<breathe>

now I only have more to do plus putting present levels on the BOCES server...
Griff • May 22, 2011 6:46 pm
PS... That is twice today as I cheated death on the mtn bike this morning, using my shoulder like a ski pole planting on a tree...:)

Dude, one of the admins at our school mentioned that they had 16 ARDs (IEP meetings for you, maybe) scheduled in one day! It's so stupid for them to squash it all at the end of the year. Frustrates parents and teachers alike.

Making me momentarily euphoric: tomorrow's my first day back in a real classroom in 10 years, and I'm kind of excited. Only momentarily though, because things worked out such that Mondays and Wednesdays are 8 hours straight this summer, so reality's about to hit me hard tomorrow.
Griff • May 22, 2011 7:57 pm
That's pretty exciting stuff Clod!
morethanpretty • May 22, 2011 9:59 pm
Damn Clod, that sounds like fun!
morethanpretty • May 22, 2011 10:35 pm
I snuck a couple of my Vicodins because I wasn't feeling very good today. Now I am :).

Are you nuts-referring to the smiley face here?
Griff • May 23, 2011 6:30 am
On my personal scale of sanity no, but maybe an outside observer... it was closer to a narrowly dodged broken collar bone. Mtn biking = ecstasy you need to be right out on the edge to feel the flow of the universe.
Tulip • May 23, 2011 11:44 am
I need a euphoric moment. :(
Pete Zicato • May 23, 2011 12:15 pm
Euphoric moments must be earned.
monster • May 25, 2011 9:22 pm
This is so true. I had another today when i walked out of the bank knowing my banking software problem appears to be fixed and banking is up to date. then I remembered the rest of the shit....

I think I'm actually sort of starting to get how the coding works-now when I read the notes, they make sense. Phew! Assignment 3 is due next week. Haven't got Assignment 2 back-am hoping that the fail isn't so devasting that it stops me being able to focus properly on this one.

BigV • Jun 7, 2011 12:52 pm
an employer has sent me an email.

BigV • Jun 7, 2011 1:51 pm
vandelay.. funny (I guess, never saw that one).

I hope it works, thanks!!

I know a lot of folks don't like Seinfeld, but that's like a classic one.

Keith Hernandez. The 'second spitter' theory. "You gotta see the BAYBY."

Anyway, good luck.
BigV • Jun 7, 2011 1:55 pm
seriously, thank you. that's the link I used to learn what a vandelay is.

when you see a ten minute gap in my posting today, you'll know I've gotten the call. either that or I made another pot of coffee.
infinite monkey • Jun 7, 2011 1:58 pm
Well, when the unemployment office calls Jerry's apartment, George is in the bathroom and Kramer answers the phone. That's when George comes running out screaming "SAY VANDALAY INDUSTRIES..." with his pants down around his ankles. Jerry says "and you want to be my latex salesman."

Maybe you had to be there. :D
casimendocina • Jun 9, 2011 5:50 am
Big V, There's a 2 day gap in your posting, does that mean they called and you have an interview/job?????

Limey, business or pleasure? I'd never heard of your destinations (so I google mapped them and now know where they lie)...tell us a bit more about what's on offer (so to speak).
skysidhe • Jun 9, 2011 10:13 am
I was feeling slightly euphoric finishing my classes, but now I am feeling anti euphoric, grumpy even. I am never grumpy which makes me feel grumpy about it.

I think I will do something domestic to shake myself out of it, like garden a little.
(after the soil thaws )

casi, did you read the title of the thread?

a call from a potential employer==euphoric

imminent==momentary.

translation, I've been watching the fucking phone not ring for two and a half days now. Not euphoric any more. But like Skinner's rat, I keep leaping at the handset when I hear a beep. My son's called, etc. No phone interview though.

sorry for posting in wrong thread. sue me. :grrrr:
limey • Jun 9, 2011 1:38 pm
Casi - bidness. I'll post elsewhere of impressions and such!

My turn to apologise now for not reading all the other threads before I posted (not taking the piss here).
BigV • Jun 10, 2011 10:15 am
not sure what you're apologizing for casi. Unless you were the one who is supposed to call me. :grr:

I'm cranky, that's all.

ON A DIFFERENT NOTE--

I'm euphoric today because one young person is graduating from college this week and another young person is passing his English class.

Euphoria indeed!

(Just so you all don't think I'm merely easily euphoric, neither of these facts were true last week.)

Wouldn't want to be slutty in one's euphoricness now, would one?

Seriously though, great news about certain people in your life doing great things.
footfootfoot • Jun 10, 2011 12:18 pm
