Oh, but it can't be: oh, but it is, and for only about $4,000 you can have a pair of bra and panties made from actual human hair.

The Ananova story here

The developer was doing hair weaves when he came up with the idea of using hair for a garment. (Well surely he can't be the first, but ok.) He says that it takes three times as much hair as seen to weave a garment, because so many hairs are lost.

Uh...

Whatever floats your boat. But you wouldn't catch me in any "hair" clothing.

Well, you can see it as human wool.

I can see a fetishist paying a lot for something like that ... and a whole new market for celebrity hair-brush leavings might erupt ...

I've seen items made from spun dog and cat fur, but this is certainly a new one on me.

As someone who dabbles in a number of textile crafts, i don't see it as a good medium to work in ... not enough tensile strength, even if spun.

The model isn't even attractive and it looks like she's got a diaper on.

Both the pic and the model are pretty yukky.

Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "wearing a hair shirt."

Hmmm... suicide door, left hand drive, round lines,... customized rig? I dunno.
wolf • Dec 12, 2002 11:18 am
I'm not thinking customized, but I am thinking 1960's vintage ...
jaguar • Dec 12, 2002 4:55 pm

Jag and me agreeing on something twice in one week? Is that the fabric of spacetime I hear crumbling? :D

I think I may have gotten the car ID'd ...

One of our doctors has spent a fair amount of time living in England, so I thought it was woth a shot involving him in the discussion. I showed him the pic of the car, which he believes might be an Austin-Morris.
