It's never easy to hear these stories but it makes me glad for what we could do for him and others like him.

Wow.

I didn't know that's what you did, shel.
Gravdigr • Apr 21, 2011 6:11 pm
How many of us will be that happy in our final days?

It will be 4 years in June. And these stories still mess me up for a while.

I have an understanding of what you mean, except that the lives I impacted weren't so bright with promise, most of the time.

I can see why it makes u sad ... yet still happy... do you make dreams and wishes for children come true? Is that what wolf is referring to? If so, then what u do is nothing short of a miracle if you ask me.

And it's that feeling of helplessness no matter what, that makes it hard.

I work at the national office here in Phoenix, AZ. This is where it all started 31 years ago.

Very difficult on the other side of the fence as well. Adapting to the new reality is most difficult for the entire family - especially the caregivers.

What both of you is nothing short of admirable - from my perspective.
FishHook004 • Apr 21, 2011 6:35 pm
Well Wolfe said it right... wow.

I wish my daily working life offered such a personal face to face and honest insight into people and having the chance to do things to help certain people would make me a better man. I guess saying self-gratifying is a selfish way to go about things but that's what it is. You must learn so much about, well, everything.

All I deal with is arsehole mining companies. It's almost the complete opposite. It makes you bitter, seperates you from the things that really matter.

I hope he got to have Mickey at least pat his head before he went to Never Never Land....
