I just want to apologize for my former not-so-good-opinion about certain posters. I probably judged too harshly and with very little to no real evidence that they were dumb/mean/ridiculous. I'm not sure if I should name names, that might make things worse.

I hope to start fresh and try to read their posts without my personal bias about them getting in the way.

Nobody liked me when I joined here, but I didn't let it hurt my feelings. I think Elspode was the only person who even said "give him a chance" before many others starting calling to ban me outright. This is all true, you can look it up. It is what I refer to as "in the past" ...

Hmm, thats harsh. :( I honestly don't see why, but that may be because I see everything you post in a humorous light. That might be wrong on my part. I'm not saying you're silly and I don't take you seriously...I just don't take you too seriously.

I know you're making a joke, but my goal is kinda selfish. I think my not-so-nice opinions hurt me worse than any of the people they are directed at. I'm the one who gets angry/upset when I read their posts. Its my problem, not theirs. I am doing this more to make myself feel better, I guess. Although, I also hope it helps others.

It was my fault. I arrived as a part of a two-person strikeforce whose M.O. was to create massive amounts of consternation. Not with any bad intentions, mind you. Just for amusement's sake. I came from a board where we liked to get the posts firing off more quickly as folks jumped on the manuafctured controversy bandwagon.

I wasn't surprised at the reaction (it was what I hoped for) but I was surpised at what at the quality and richness of content in this community. So I stuck around for five years and running.

In short, I chilled out a little, in order to make a better fit. I've never actually admitted that until just now.

That being said, I have noticed a change in MTP's attitude lately, and I find her easier to relate to because of it, so maybe I should have just said that instead huh?

You didn't notice that MTP used that exact phrase in her OP? Aside from my humourous intent, I was also suggesting that it's a two way street, and that I for one have noticed the change, even if no one else has. Possibly because I think that maybe I'm one of the people she was talking about.

Maybe not though. In any case, I am impressed that MTP could write something like this. It takes a lot of inner strength to let go of preconcieved notions and see someone for who they really are.

I never thought for a second that there would not be people on this board with a bad opinion of me. I have been at odds with people at times, so that is bound to happen. I'm not trying to insist they get rid of those conceptions, I'm just letting y'all know I'm trying to get rid of mine.

Yeah, I've looked at it again, and it could have been insulting, so I'm glad you didn't take it that way, because I certainly didn't want it to seem that way.

Maybe it's the way my sense of humour works or something else, but it seems that some people don't get it. I'm sorry for that. I'll try to just be serious instead...although, the same poster has accused me of taking myself too seriously and so I started trying to lighten up a bit, but that poster is still not happy. I guess that means that some people are just never going to be happy, so they can go fuck themselves, and I'll just be me. :)

Using the word YOU instead of casting a wider net doesn't diminish the other very awesome supportive things you said.
