It's for a friend's birthday -she likes birds and orange an doesn't really need "stuff".

...after seeing the image on screen.... It needs googly eyes.......brb

(I once gave her an orange gerbera and put googly eyes on all the flowers......)

Lovely.

With a little bit of prompting and a couple of false starts, I can usually manage the crane. I make them as my substitute for fidgeting and pacing.

When momwolf had her breast cancer surgery, I made a whole flock of them while sitting in the family waiting room for my friend (the surgeon) to come report to me.

I did the same while I was having teeth extracted.

And when momwolf was being admitted for congestive heart failure.

I've left them all over the place. I have a lot of stress and anxiety, but work to look calm.

(origami paper is lightweight and easy to shove into even a small purse)

great idea, wolf. This is made from regular printer paper (yes, pretty hard to fold, but I was determined). Birdie now has googly eyes and is watching you....

How fun. I still remember how to make a semi-intricate paper airplane. I'll have to try the ani-mules.

quite impressive

She liked it :D and noted that I picked orange and googly eyes 'specially And breakfast was yummy too. And we walked there and back so the cholesterol and calories domn't count. Bi-winning.

Looks good!

I was into origami for years. John Montroll even came to an origami club at the local library for a while. Modular origami obviously inspired my tapecraft.

I don't remember how often I or he (or more particularly I and he at the same time) attended, but it was fun meeting him, and I got to show him some (very simple)dinosaur folds I invented. It was cool.

I didn't make it, but it came in the mail. I love it. It's a kitteh. Sorry I can't take a good pic with this phone. :)

Well, poocat. I didn't know it had googly eyes but I had the envelope in my purse and found 1 (one) googly eye. I replaced it. I now have a one-eyed kitteh. The other eye could be in my purse (i.e. bottomless pit of crap.) I'll look for it. :)
monster • Mar 29, 2011 10:06 am
I'm not mailing one googly eye. You'll just have to call him ol' one-eye
glatt • Mar 29, 2011 10:07 am
draw a pirate's patch over the spot where the other eye would be.
infinite monkey • Mar 29, 2011 10:08 am

I'm naming him Barney Google, with the Goo Goo Googly Eye.

OK, how does this look? It was kind of hard. I had to cut the rubber band (string, string, how I miss string) and glue it to the pre-markered paper with a big old glue stick.

CUTE!
