Feb 28, 2011: Defiant Croatian protestor

Speaking of large images... I decided not to reduce this one too much in size because it's so striking as a large pic.

Anyway, dateline Zagreb, Croatia: the Arab world's protests now expand to eastern Europe. The Croatian government is accused of being entirely corrupt; the politicians are robbing the country blind and getting inordinately wealthy, while the people suffer with unemployment and poverty. The public goods of the country have even been sold.

Young protesters tried to reach the public square, which this street leads to, but were met by the above force as well as tear gas.

Great picture, UT, and certainly of Croatia (there are a couple of linguistic clues in there) but unless the Beeb knows nothing about it, there is currently no unrest in Croatia.
Monster, dear, what does 132 mean?

The Beeb must be keeping mum. The AP via google seems to know about it.

Al Jazeera also has a bit (scroll down to "Anti-government protests")
