Obama to ease travel restrictions to Cuba, allow more U.S. cash to island

This is a great idea. Long over due. I would rather like to see Congress move on the issue and completely drop the embargo, but I imagine that we will have to wait til Castro dies off before that happens.

So now that secretly Islamist, not born in America, non-patriot, is sending money to the commies. I can hear it now. :rolleyes:

Yea, me too. Utter BS. I am behind Obama 100% on this. We should have dropped the embargo 30 years ago. It would more likely have done more to thwart the communist ideals than an embargo ever did.

My uncle will be going to Cuba in a few months to go birdwatching.

That would be great. My immediate neighbor and a good friend of mine holds one of the very few import export licenses with Cuba. He has met Castro numerous times. If they open the flood gates to trade he will become a millionaire. He has been doing it for over 30 years and has a huge ship that goes there twice a month carrying supplies. I would love to see him make a killing on it. Few people in the US have the number of business contacts that he has in Cuba.
