Moderator Election Thread
Please vote for no more than two people, to be Cellar moderators through the end of the year. The top two will be selected. The term of this office will be through 12/31/2011.
Candidates are listed in order of nomination.
The job is:
Moderators are added to the list of email addresses that get notified when someone reports a post. One would remove spam and forum abuse and things like this.
Moderators can do the following:
- Edit, move, delete posts
- Edit, move, copy, open/close threads
- Post announcements (make posts "sticky" at the top of the forum)
- View IP addresses
- Ban users
This is not a popularity contest but a way to figure out who should have additional power for the benefit of the community. Full disclosure: although I have the ability to see who voted for whom, I won't peek, I sincerely promise.
The vote will be open for five days, ending at approx. 11:59 am EST Jan. 11. (Or whenever I notice time is up.) Thanks all for participating.

I thought of Glyph earlier then never got to posting it, but still this is an awesome cage match and I don't to see either of them lose, so they'll both have to die since there can be only one winner.
No but it's like that thing, in the old gladiator movie, where the one who dies first has an easy death, and the one who wins actually suffers far more afterwards, so the two friends are genuinely trying to kill each other in order to spare the other from a worse fate.

I just noticed I have an edit button now for every post, right next to the quote button. I went to quote one of Clod's posts in another thread but hit the edit button instead without noticing. I was all like wtf? until I figured it out and hit cancel.

But I have been poking around, trying to figure things out a bit. I amused myself briefly by reading a couple of the hidden posts of an unnamed annoying young girl who had been sent to Coventry as she figured out what happened and went away. Mostly, there's nothing juicy with my new super powers though. It's looking like this will just be work.
